CULTURE

With the prompt of incorporating the word that describes your artistic practice, I chose the word culture. My heritage, Turkish/Arab from my father and Ukrainian from my mother, is a fundamental part of me as well as my art. While I come from two very different cultures, they both are equal parts of me, both part of the same playing card. There is no correct orientation for the piece, as it is intended to be that neither part is above the other compositionally.
